No Ukrainian refugees or people from another country seeking international protection in Ireland spent the night at the Old Terminal Building in Dublin Airport last night, according to the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
This morning a statement from the department said that staff were at the terminal building with catering in place for any people who arrived.
However, this evening a department spokesperson said that no new arrivals went to the Old Terminal Building today, instead people "went straight to (the) CityWest (transit hub) for registration."
The terminal building was first used as an accommodation centre for new arrivals on Wednesday evening as the Citywest Transit Hub was full.
Around 250 people stayed in the building that night, sleeping on inflatable mattresses and on floors.
They included pregnant woman, elderly people and mothers with young children.
Yesterday morning, 120 people arrived at the terminal building.
Food, water and hot drinks were provided to those staying at the facility.
However, no hot food was available, and the Department confirmed that there are no shower facilities in the building.
In a statement the Department acknowledged that "the building in use is not built for overnight sleeping" and was "it was far from ideal for arrivals to stay here".
In the past two days, multiple buses have transported groups of the new arrivals staying at the Old Terminal building in the airport to the CityWest hub.
The Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) has said it continues to have serious concerns about overcrowding at the CityWest facility.
