The latest Business Post RED C opinion poll has suggested that Sinn Féin support has hit a new high for the second month running in this series of voter surveys.

This poll was conducted among more than 1,000 voters online over five days up to last Wednesday.

With the rising cost of living the dominant theme in politics right now, this poll indicates that the biggest opposition party continues to gain support.

Sinn Féin is up two points to 36% on the last comparable poll in April.

The two bigger parties of Government each drop one point, leaving Fine Gael on 20% and Fianna Fáil on 15%.

However, the Green Party gains one point to bring it to 5%.

The Independents are unchanged at 11% as are Solidarity-PBP on 3% and Aontú on 2%.

The Social Democrats on 4% and Labour on 3%, are each down one point.

The margin of error in this poll is plus or minus 3%.
