A 49-year-old man has been charged with causing criminal damage to the gates of the Russian embassy in Dublin yesterday.
Desmond Wisley, of Tully, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, was also charged with dangerous driving at the same location on Orwell Road, during an appearance before Tallaght District Court this morning.
Garda Aisling Conroy gave evidence of arresting Mr Wisley at Rathfarnham Garda Station at 7.20pm last night.
She told the court that he made no reply when cautioned and charged.

Garda Conroy said there was no objection to bail with certain conditions.
These include staying away from Orwell Road, Dublin 14 and Ailesbury Road, Dublin 4.
Mr Wisley must refrain from posting on social media anything relating to this case and he must not make direct or indirect contact with any staff from the Russian embassy.
Judge Patricia McNamara asked Mr Wisley if he understood what was being asked of him.
Mr Wisley, who was representing himself, said he understood the conditions and would adhere to them.
Garda Conroy said she was awaiting directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mr Wisley must return to court on 26 April to hear what the DPP directions are.
