The Department of Health has reported 3,975 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19. In addition, 4,478 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
Yesterday, there was 4,933 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 3,803 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal the previous day.
On Saturday, there was 6,260 PCR-confirmed cases and 4,717 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal the previous day.
There has been a slight rise in the number of people with Covid-19 in hospital.
As of 8am, there were 643 patients being treated in hospital with the virus, an increase of 28 on the same time yesterday.
However, it compares to a figure of 885 two weeks ago and 692 last Monday.
The number of people with Covid in intensive care units has also risen slightly.
Of the 643 patients with the virus in hospital today, 76 were receiving treatment in ICU as of 11.30am, an increase of three on yesterday.
It compares to the same figure on this day two weeks ago and 75 last Monday.
