Apache Pizza is to create 500 jobs over the coming months in its 180 stores across the country.

The positions include permanent, full-time and part-time positions for general managers, supervisors, team members and delivery drivers.

Apache Pizza is to hold a national recruitment roadshow in the coming weeks in towns and universities around the state.

"We are delighted to create such a large number of jobs and to provide people with an immediate opportunity to join Apache Pizza, to secure local employment and to develop and advance their career with us as we continue to grow and expand across the island of Ireland," said Crispin McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer at Apache Pizza.

It comes five months after the company announced 300 jobs and the opening of 20 new stores.

The company was founded in Dublin in 1996 by Robert Pendleton and his wife Emily Gore Grimes.

Today it is owned by global pizza delivery master franchise, Food Delivery Brands and by OKR Group, Ireland's leading QSR franchise operator.

Ireland’s largest pizza chain, Apache Pizza has served six million pizzas to customers so far this year.
