An investigation is under way after a man was found with serious head injuries in Finglas, Dublin.
The man, who is in his late 20s, was found on Mellowes Avenue in Finglas at around 8pm.
He has been taken to Connolly hospital where he is in a critical condition.
Gardaí have described his injuries as "unexplained".
The scene has been preserved pending a forensic examination.
