A 13-year-old boy has died following an incident at a school in Co Kilkenny yesterday.
The boy was taken to St Luke's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
RTÉ News understands the boy was injured when he was hit by a sliotar.
Gardaí say they are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
A file will be prepared for the coroner's court.
