Man killed, woman injured in Dublin road crash

A man in his 20s has died following a single-vehicle road crash in Ballyfermot in Dublin.

Gardaí said he was a passenger in a car that crashed on Sarsfield Road shortly after 10.30pm last night.

He was taken to St James's Hospital in a critical condition, but died from his injuries.

A second passenger in the car, a woman in her 20s, was also taken to hospital with injuries said to be non life-threatening.

A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested and is currently being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station.

The road was closed overnight for an examination, but has since reopened.
