Over the August bank holiday weekend a number of walk-in Covid-19 vaccine clinics will be in operation, for anyone over the age of 16 who has yet to receive a first dose.

There is no need to register online before visiting one of these clinics but people are required to supply a mobile phone number, eircode, email address and photo ID, which contains their date of birth.

Where possible, a Personal Public Service number should be made available, but if people do not have a PPS number, they can still get vaccinated once proof of address is provided.

If people have already registered online and are waiting on an appointment for their first dose, they can choose to go to a walk-in clinic instead.

Those attending will receive a first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Those who receive their first dose at these clinics will receive a later text on where they can receive their second dose.

The HSE's National Director for the vaccination programme, Damien McCallion, said they want to make sure getting the vaccine is as easy and convenient for people as possible.

"In particular, when people might be holidaying in Ireland over the long weekend, they can still avail of the vaccine at a location that is convenient for them. People’s second doses can then be scheduled for a location near their home," he said.

Here is a full list of when and where you can avail of a vaccine - without an appointment.
