Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade are currently at the scene of a gorse wildfire in the Shelmartin area of Howth in north Co Dublin.
The Irish Air Corps is providing a helicopter for aerial firefighting and has asked the public to stay away and avoid flying drones in the area.
Smoke is drifting across the locality.
As a precaution, Dublin Fire Brigade is asking residents downwind to close all doors and windows if affected.
