Four arrested after €3.9 million worth of cannabis seized in Co Laois

Four men have been arrested after cannabis worth an estimated €3.9 million was seized in Co Laois.

The cannabis herb and other cannabis products were found after gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle in the Raheen area this morning.

The seizure was part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs.

The four men were arrested at the scene.

Two of them, who are in their 30s, are being held at Portlaoise Garda Station.

The two others, who are in their 40s, are being questioned at Tullamore Garda Station.

Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
