Two men  have appeared in court in Dublin charged with the murder of a father-of-two in Tallaght six weeks ago.

Vincent Parsons died after he was attacked on a night out on 24 August.

Sean Carlyle, 27, from Donaghmore Avenue in Tallaght and Philip Disney, 24, from Donaghmore Crescent were brought by gardaí from Tallaght to the Courts of Criminal Justice this morning.

The two men have been charged with the murder of Vincent Parsons.

The 34-year-old died after he was attacked on a Saturday night out after he left the Killinarden House pub.

There was no application for bail as it can only be granted in the High Court in murder cases.

Both accused were granted free legal aid and remanded in custody to appear again at Clover Hill District Court next week.
