A house in Portrane in north Dublin is to be demolished by the local authority due to the effects of coastal erosion.
Today, the back wall of the house, which has been lying empty since last year, fell on to the beach below.
The house had been deemed unsafe by Fingal County Council after Storm Emma hit in March last year.
The house has been vacant for the past 11 months after the owner and her family, who had lived there for 20 years, were told it was unsafe.
Last year, the council said there were planning issues with the property, but the owners insisted it had been there since the 1960s.
