The CervicalCheck Patient Support Group has expressed disappointment that a planned meeting this afternoon with Minister for Health Simon Harris was postponed.
The 221 plus group said many of its members had made specific arrangements to be in Dublin today to meet the minister and his officials, and were looking forward to the opportunity to discuss the many matters affecting them.
The group said it understood the need for Mr Harris to be in the Seanad earlier this afternoon to deal with important legislation.
The group said it looked forward to rearranging the much anticipated meeting at the earliest opportunity.
Mr Harris said he wanted to offer his sincere apologies for the short notice, and for having to postpone the important meeting.
He said it was unfortunately unavoidable, due to the significant time commitment required for the passage of legislation on Termination of Pregnancy in the Seanad.
