Four men have been arrested in connection with an assault on a football referee earlier this month in Horseleap, Co Offaly.
The men, two aged in their 20s, one teenager and one man in his 40s, were arrested this morning,
They are being held at Mullingar, Tullamore and Birr garda stations.
Referee Daniel Sweeney was left with serious facial injuries, including a broken jaw, following an attack after the match on 11 November.
The FAI began an investigation into the attack and last Friday three Mullingar Town players and a spectator were banned from all football activity for 40 years.
