The Sunday Business Post has been bought by Kilcullen Kapital Partners for an undisclosed sum from Sunrise Media.
Kilcullen is an investment firm fronted by Enda O'Coineen, who is a former journalist and magazine publisher.
Negotiations on a deal had reportedly been taking place for the past number of weeks.
Following the agreement, the Sunday Business Post said it expects no significant changes to be made at the publication for the remainder of the year and that the newspaper will be profitable for 2018.
Last month the Sunday Business Post said it outperformed the newspaper market with a fall of just 0.1% in print and e-reader sales over the past year.
Sunrise Media is owned by Key Capital - a private equity firm founded by Conor Killeen. Sunrise acquired the Sunday Business Post in 2013 following a period of examinership.
The Sunday Business Post was put up for sale last year by Key Capital.
The deal to acquire the newspaper is set to be completed before the end of the year.
