A new national action plan to tackle scoliosis waiting lists has been published.
The scoliosis waiting lists were highlighted in a programme by RTE Investigates in 2017.
The plan, the second of its kind, was devised by clinicians, the Children's Hospital Group and advocacy groups.
76 patients are still waiting for scoliosis surgery here.
A new action published today aims to change that with an increase in the number of MRI scans to speed up pre-operation decision making and reduce waiting times for access to surgery.
More physiotherapists and occupational therapists will be recruited to support recovery and teams at Our Lady's Hospital in Crumlin and at Temple Street Children's Hospital will adapt a more holistic patient and family focused approach.

Advocacy groups have welcomed today's plan and the progress made to date, but they say waiting lists are too long and outpatient appointments access too difficult.
