Over 20,100 people have now contacted the HSE’s CervicalCheck helpline with queries over smear tests.
Of these, over 11,100 have requested a call back and over 9,300 calls have been returned.
So far, 207 of the first group of 209 women or families affected have been contacted.
A second group are being identified in a comparison of CervicalCheck and National Cancer Registry data.
The HSE says this matching process will be concluded "in the next week".
It added that the International Clinical Expert Review Panel is also being established.
It will look at about 3,000 cervical cancer diagnoses reported over the last decade.
The terms of reference for this Expert Review Panel, are currently under consideration by the Department of Health.
