Saturday 19 May: Jastine Valdez gets off a bus on the Kilcroney Road in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, and walked along the road to her home nearby.

Eyewitnesses report seeing a woman being bundled into a dark-coloured Nissan Qashqai on the R760 in Enniskerry.

Jastine Valdez reported missing by her family late on Saturday night.

Gardaí search the location where Ms Valdez was last seen and find her mobile phone and bag.

12.30pm

Sunday 20 May: Gardaí in Bray appeal for information following the disappearance of Ms Valdez. They issue a description of a vehicle they are trying to trace, including a partial number plate.

4.30pm

Gardaí release the complete registration number plate of the black Nissan Qashqai they are looking for in connection with the disappearance of Ms Valdez (171 D 20419). They urge the public not to approach the vehicle but to contact gardaí.

A man in the Nissan Qashqai, who is armed with a knife, is shot dead by gardaí.

Monday 21 May: The man is identified as 40-year-old Mark Hennessy, a father of two children, who lived in Bray, Co Wicklow.

Search for Jastine Valdez continues, with gardaí focusing on the Rathmichael area of south Co Dublin.

Gardaí find Jastine Valdez's purse in Rathmichael.

Gardaí issue appeal looking to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area of Puckscastle Lane and Kiltiernan Lead Mines, Rathmichael, between 6pm on Saturday and 8pm yesterday.

Gardaí searching for Jastine Valdez find a body.

Gardaí make further appeal for information following the discovery of a body. They appeal for anyone who may have been in the area of Pucks Castle Lane, Murphy's Lane, Carrickgollogan Forest Recreation Area, or was in the vicinity of the Lead Mines in Kiltiernan from 6pm Saturday 19 May to 8pm Sunday 20 May who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them. They have also appealed for hillwalkers, cyclists, or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
