A man has been brought before Dublin District Court charged with dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to two men in Coolmine in Dublin 15 yesterday.

37-year-old Paul Connolly, of Cregg Court, Robertstown in Co Kildare, was arrested in Blanchardstown yesterday morning.

He was charged with dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to 19-year-old Francis Dhala and to 54-year-old Michael Igoe.

He was also charged with failing to keep his vehicle at the scene.

The court heard there were two bench warrants outstanding against him at the time of his arrest.

Gardaí objected to bail and Judge Alan Mitchell remanded Mr Connolly in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.
