An Army Bomb Disposal team has carried out controlled explosions at two separate locations in counties Cork and Wexford.
Old blasting powder was discovered in Campile, New Ross yesterday afternoon and the area was sealed off.
The powder was detonated and the area was declared safe shortly before 5pm.
The second call-out was in Mallow where a Civil War era Mills Grenade was discovered.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team arrived at the scene shortly after 9pm last night and a number of adjacent houses were evacuated.
A controlled explosion was carried out and the area was declared safe just before 11pm.
