A 36-year-old man who was shot outside a house in Coolock in Dublin last night remains on life support in hospital.
Gardaí believe the shooting at a house in Moatview Gardens in Priorswood, is related to organised crime in north Dublin, but is not specifically linked to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.
The victim is believed to have been sitting in a car outside the house at around 8.15pm when a gunman fired several shots at him.
He managed to get out of the car and tried to make his way to a house when he collapsed in the front garden.
He had been shot in the head and was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he is in a critical condition.
The gunman escaped on foot.

Neighbours, who came to the man's aid, say they heard up to seven or eight gun shots.
The man is known to gardaí and lived in an apartment in Clarehall around 1km away.
It is believed he may have come to Priorswood to meet a known drug dealer.
Gardaí are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have appealed for information.
