A man in his 70s has been killed in a road crash in Co Monaghan.
The single-vehicle crash happened at Lakeview, Castleblayney at around 1.45pm this afternoon.
It is understood the car the man was driving left the road and struck a wall.
His body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where a post mortem will be carried out.
The scene is being forensically examined and local diversions are in place.
