An 84-year-old man had died in a house fire in Co Louth.
His son was taken to hospital after the blaze broke out at the bungalow in Donaghmore, Dundalk.
Emergency services were alerted shortly before 7am and 18 members of the fire brigade from Dundalk and Ardee brought the blaze under control.
The deceased has been named as 84-year-old Sean McGee.
He was a well-known stonemason in the area with a keen interest in local history and politics.

His body was been removed to the Louth County Morgue.
His son was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, but his injuries are not life threatening.
The area around the bungalow was sealed off today while gardaí investigated the cause of the fire.
Gardaí say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
