Gardaí are investigating the death of a 19-year-old University of Limerick student.
Sophie Coll, from Barna in Co Galway, suffered head injuries after falling in a property off-campus in Limerick on Monday.
Gardaí said she died on Tuesday at University Hospital Limerick.
A spokesperson for UL said Ms Coll was taken to hospital after a fall at a house but died as a result of injuries sustained in the "entirely freak accident".
Ms Coll was a second-year business student and had transferred to the college from NUI Galway.
A file is being prepared for the coroner.
