Former RTÉ newscaster, journalist and presenter Don Cockburn has died aged 87.
He joined RTÉ as a part-time Raidió Éireann announcer in 1958, before becoming a full-time employee in 1972.
Mr Cockburn anchored the broadcaster's main evening programming over many years.
He retired in 1992.

Mr Cockburn died at St Vincent's Hospital after a short illness.
His funeral will take place on Thursday.
