A woman shot dead at a house in Balbutcher Drive in Dublin yesterday afternoon has been named locally as Antoinette Corbally.

She was 48, and a mother of six children.

The 30-year-old man who was also killed in the attack has been named locally as Clinton Shannon from Dublin.

It is understood he operated a locksmith business.

Two other people were injured during the attack.

Gardaí are seeking two gunmen over the attack, which is understood to be gang related.

It is not thought to be connected to an ongoing feud between the Hutch and Kinahan criminal gangs.

It believed the intended victim of the two killers was a man who was in the house but who fled through the back when the shooting began.

Minister for Justice and Equality Charlie Flanagan has condemned the shooting.

He said that high visibility policing, including armed checkpoints, would continue across the city to combat such attacks.
