Two Irish women have been seriously injured in a road collision in northern France.
The women were among a family of eight involved in the incident which occurred in Beaumont-en-Auge on Wednesday, according to local media reports.
French newspaper Ouest-France reported that one of the women was airlifted to hospital in the city of Caen in a critical condition.
An 18-year-old woman is also said to be in a serious condition.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is aware of the case.
