Post-mortem examinations are due to be concluded on the bodies of three men who died in a road crash in Co Waterford yesterday.
The men have not yet formally been identified, but gardaí say they are making progress.
They died when the car in which they were travelling was in a collision with a seven-seater people carrier shortly before 10am yesterday on a section of the N72 known as the Military Road a few kilometres from Dungarvan.
It is believed the men were travelling in the direction of Cork while the other car was heading towards Waterford city.
The car the men were in burst into flames on impact.
A man and woman and four children who were in the people carrier were injured and were flown by helicopter to hospital.
Three of the most critical were operated on last night. The children are aged between six and 14 and one has special needs.
One of the children, a boy, was discharged from hospital this morning. The woman's three daughters remain in hospital along with her and her partner.
It is understood the man is from Cobh and works for the naval service, while the woman lives in the Mallow area.
Gardaí have reissued an appeal for information for anyone who travelled the stretch of road yesterday morning to contact them.
The road will remain closed until this afternoon.
