The Independent Alliance will meet the Minister for Finance Michael Noonan and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Paschal Donohoe tomorrow over next month's Budget.

The Alliance met earlier today and will be pushing for a number of measures for rural Ireland and carers in the Budget to be announced on 11 October.

Minister of State and Alliance member Finian McGrath is looking for medical card provision for 10,000 children on the domicillary care allowance which is contained in the Programme for Government.

Mr McGrath is also seeking increased speech therapy services along with more investment in residential and respite places.
