The Right2Water campaign has said voters who gave TDs a mandate to abolish Irish Water and water charges remain angry that the issue has not been sorted out.

Announcing a march in Dublin on 17 September, campaign coordinator David Gibney said the Right2Water movement had no faith in the expert panel set up by Government to examine water charges.

Independents4Change TD Clare Daly said it was ironic that the Government obeyed the European Union on water charges but was challenging the Apple tax bill.

Failure to collect the money, she said, proved there was no dire need for water charges.
