A rare first edition of James Joyce's Ulysses has sold for €9,500 at auction in Dublin.
It was one of the highest valued items in the Collection of Modern First Editions going under the hammer.

The collection was put together by Dr Philip Murray, who today put 2,200 first edition books up for sale, as well as correspondence from many authors.
An inscribed copy of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird sold for €4,800.
