Saolta University Health Care Group has confirmed it is reviewing five additional cases involving infant care at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, Co Galway.
Saolta began a review of 18 cases in March 2015 after two babies died during childbirth the previous year.
The process was due to take five months but no review has been published to date.
Saolta has yet to confirm whether the five cases form part of the 'Review of Maternity Services' at Portiuncula or are part of a separate review process.
One family in Co Galway believe their daughter's case is one of the five cases being reviewed.
Sinéad and Vincent Slattery's daughter Amy died four years ago.
Ms Slattery was admitted to Portiuncula Hospital at 29 weeks pregnant. She was transferred to the Coombe Hospital in Dublin where her daughter, Amy was delivered. However, the baby died four days later.
The Slattery family are seeking clarification as to what happened in their daughter's case.
Although they are due to meet with Saolta next Monday, they say they are angry at the delay in getting information.
