US billionaire Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for the US presidential election, may make a stop in Co Clare despite earlier reports that he had cancelled the Irish leg of his Scottish and Irish tour.
He is due to visit his golf and hotel property in Doonbeg next week.
After @TrumpScotland, I will visit @TrumpDoonbeg in Ireland, the magnificent resort fronting on the Atlantic Ocean.

This morning, US-based Irish website Irish Central reported that the trip would now be to Scotland only.
Management at the Trump International golf resort in Doonbeg said they were awaiting communication from members of the Trump family about whether Mr Trump had cancelled his proposed trip.
General Manager Joe Russell said he was aware of the reports on Irish Central, but had no confirmation that Mr Trump had cancelled his trip here.
This afternoon, a further statement from Management at Doonbeg quoted a Trump Organization spokesperson who said that Mr Trump's itinerary has not been finalised.
"It is purely a scheduling issue and we still hope to make a stop in Ireland if time allows," the spokesman added.
