Flights across Europe are being disrupted due to strike action by French air traffic controllers.

Five Aer Lingus flights from Dublin, bound for Lyon, Perpignan, Marseilles, Barcelona and Alicante, have been cancelled along with five flights to Dublin from those destinations.

Dozens of Ryanair flights across Europe, including flights on the Dublin to Murcia and Dublin to Basel routes, have also been affected by the strike.

It is the seventh day of industrial action by French air traffic controllers in the past two months.

Passengers have been advised to check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
