An overturned truck caused major traffic delays near Junction 9 on the M50 this morning.

The truck flipped on its side on the slip road from Naas Rd outbound onto the M50 northbound at the Red Cow.

No one was injured in the incident.

The section of road has reopened after it was closed until 1pm when a crane was brought in to remove the truck.

Drivers trying to get on the M50 northbound coming from Dublin city had to take the M50 southbound until the Ballymount exit and then join the M50 northbound from there.
