Stormont Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has announced he is to contest the upcoming Assembly elections in his native city of Derry.
Mr McGuinness, who is an MLA for Mid-Ulster and a former Westminster MP, is moving to the Foyle constituency in the city.
Northern Ireland's Assembly elections are due to be held in May this year.
Sinn Féin hope the move will help the party take a third seat in Derry, where they currently have two MLAs.
The SDLP have three Assembly seats in Derry.
Mr McGuinness announced his intention at a party meeting this morning, where he also said he believes Sinn Féin can "emerge in the future as the largest political party in the North.
