The PSNI are treating as murder the death of young man whose body was found in west Belfast early this morning.

The man was found in the Glasvey Close area in west Belfast at 1am. Police were called to the scene where he was pronounced dead.

It is believed he had sustained a number of injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: "A number of injuries were noted on the body and as such we are treating this death as murder."

He added: "An investigation is now under way and we are seeking information from the public to assist us with our inquiries.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any information or who witnessed any disturbances in the area of the Stewartstown Road or Glasvey Close to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101," he said.
