An investigation is under way after an elderly man died in a house fire in Co Wexford this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on main street Ferns at 6am after the alarm was raised by the man's wife, who managed to escape the fire.
The man's body was discovered later. It is understood he in his 80s.
Forensic experts are examining the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
