The Health Service Executive says a total of 13 staff members are still "off duty", as a result of an ongoing internal investigation into care practices at Áras Attracta in Co Mayo.
The HSE says the staff members have been placed off duty on full pay, as a protective measure.
The investigation was launched last December, following the RTÉ Investigations Unit report Inside Bungalow 3.
It featured footage of staff interaction with residents at the facility in Swinford, which was gathered by an undercover reporter.
The HSE inquiry was stalled as a result of a corresponding garda investigation but the executive says it recommenced work in March and has continued since then.
A number of workers were suspended in the early stages of the process but four more were placed off duty in August.
The investigation is being overseen by Christy Lynch, who has extensive experience in the voluntary disability sector.
As part of the probe, almost 300 hours of video footage have been reviewed.
A number of staff members have been interviewed and others have been scheduled for interviews with members of the investigation team.
The HSE says it hopes to complete the process as soon as possible, subject to the usual guidelines around fair procedure and legal entitlements.
The investigation will report findings in respect of all staff members who are subject to the inquiry.
It has also emerged that one of the six people who have been charged with assault following the extensive garda inquiry is no longer employed by the HSE.
Yesterday, Swinford District Court was told Joan Gill was entering guilty pleas to a number of assault charges on dates in November last year.
Responding to questions from RTÉ News, the HSE said Ms Gill was no longer an employee.
Five other care workers, four of whom are employees of the HSE, are each charged with one count of assault.
They will stand trial next year.
Pat McLoughlin, of Lalibela, Mayfield, Claremorris, is charged with assault on 14 November 2014 at Bungalow 3, Áras Attracta.
Anna Ywunong Botsimbo, of Low Park Avenue, Charlestown, is charged with assault on the same date at the same location.
Kathleen King from Straide, Foxford, Co Mayo, Christina Delaney, from Lissatava, Hollymount, Co Mayo and Joan Walsh from Carrowilkeen, Curry, Co Sligo are each charged with one count of assault at Bungalow 3 on 15 November last year.
