The LÉ Niamh docked at the Port of Augusta in Sicily this morning, carrying 513 people.
This included 380 refugees rescued by the Irish Navy Vessel off the coast of Libya yesterday, as well as 133 rescued people taken from an Italian Coast Guard vessel.
Initial medical assessments were carried out on board the vessel and there are no reports of serious injuries.
The group is currently being transferred into the care of Italian authorities.
