The Banking Inquiry has written to former Cabinet Minister Eamon Ryan requesting copies of his notes on Anglo Irish Bank.
Last month, Mr Ryan's Green Party colleague John Gormley told the Inquiry that Mr Ryan took extensive notes and minutes of meetings on banking issues.
The inquiry has now requested copies of Mr Ryan's notes around the Anglo Irish Bank nationalisation in January 2009 and any documents relating to the solvency of the bank between August 2008 and April 2009.
Green Party leader Mr Ryan said today that he had already given most of his material to the UCD archives but he would go through it and send on any relevant information to the inquiry.
Meanwhile, the Inquiry has received lengthy witness statements from two Irish Nationwide executives due to give evidence in public hearings next week.
Former CEO Michael Fingleton and former chairman Michael Walsh have sent in 9000-word statements.
