A man who was taken from the sea off the coast of Co Waterford this afternoon has died.
The 48-year-old man was fishing on rocks at Bunmahon Beach when he was reportedly swept out to sea .
He was found in the water near Boatstrand by the Search and Rescue helicopter based at Waterford airport and taken to University Hospital Waterford where he later died.
A man who was with him is being treated in hospital.
