A 12-year-old Taiwanese boy got more than he bargained for on a school trip to a museum when he tripped and fell into a 350-year-old painting.
The boy accidentally smashed a hole in the work of art valued at $1.5 million (€1.3m).
Footage released by the organisers shows the boy in shorts, trainers, a blue Puma T-shirt and holding a drink walk pass the painting.
It shows the boy catching his foot and stumbling over into the painting.
The boy left a fist-size tear on “Flowers”, a 17-century oil on canvas by Italian master Paolo Porpora.
The organiser of "The Face of Leonardo, Images of a Genius" exhibition said the boy was not to be blamed, adding that the painting was insured, Focus Taiwan news reported.
