A new opinion poll suggests that support for the Labour Party is at its lowest rating in nine months and that Independents have also lost significant support.

The data is contained in this month's Behaviour & Attitudes opinion poll for The Sunday Times.

It found that support for Fine Gael has risen since the last poll a month ago, and now stands at 27% - a three point increase.

The Labour party has fallen two points to just 6%.

Fianna Fáil has seen a rise in support. The party now stands at 20% - up two points.

Sinn Féin has also secured a two point jump and now stands at 19% .

Support for independents and others has fallen from last month's high-water mark of 32% to 28%.

However, the Green Party has doubled its support from one to two percent.
