More than 900 venues in towns and cities around the country will open their doors to the public on Friday 18 September for the tenth year of Culture Night.
Since its small scale beginnings a decade ago staged only in Dublin, Culture Night is now a countrywide event.
This year more than 40 towns and cities across Ireland will be home to performances and demonstrations for the public.
All events are free but booking is advised where possible.
Museums, galleries, observatories and government buildings are just some of the venues opening late for the night.
With 40,000 people at its first celebration ten years ago, organisers expect 350,000 people to take part in 2015.
As well as being marked on both sides of the border, this year's Culture Night will see Irish events being celebrated in New York and Paris.
Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Heather Humphreys said this year's Culture Night promises to be bigger and better than ever.
She said it will bring towns and cities alive with a buzz that is unrivalled at any other time in the year.
