Pramerica Systems Ireland in Letterkenny, Co Donegal has announced that it is to create 330 jobs.
The jobs will come on stream over the next three years and the company says there is potential for further growth.
Pramerica currently employs 1,200 people in Letterkenny.
It is building a new campus which has the potential to accommodate 1,800 staff.
Pramerica is a subsidiary of US based Prudential Financial Inc and provides the parent company with software and business support.
Caroline Faulkner, senior managing director and chief information officer at Pramerica, said the job opportunities will include senior IT managers, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, actuaries, accountants and a wide range of technology support and professional services roles.
Speaking on RTÉ’s News at One, Pramerica vice-president for IT & Facilities Gerard Grant said the company had now expanded to the point where it could offer high quality jobs.
He said the jobs were "professional positions in software technology, testing, in professional services, legal, actuarial, data science and data analysis. Jobs of the digital age as it were.
"And as part of the expansion we’re going to be building a brand new facility approximately a kilometre from where we are."
