The banking inquiry has excused former Anglo Irish Bank chairman Sean Fitzpatrick and two former Anglo Irish Bank executives from attending the committee following interventions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The DPP told the committee that their attendance could reasonably be expected to prejudice pending criminal prosecutions.
The three include Mr Fitzpatrick along with Pat Whelan and John Bowe.
Also today, it has been confirmed that former Anglo chairman David Drumm has supplied a written statement which is being legally reviewed by the committee before it can be accepted.
The inquiry has also agreed to report Anglo's former head of lending Tom Browne to gardaí for not complying with its orders and the committee may also got to the courts to require compliance.
