Dublin City Council has warned that there will be reduced water pressure and possible loss of water supply in some northern suburbs of the capital up to midnight.

The disruption, which began at 10pm yesterday, is being caused by works facilitating the Luas Cross City Line.

The areas likely to be affected are: Cabra, Phibsborough, Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Whitehall, Marino, Santry, Beaumont, Donnycarney and Artane.

The council will make a number of water tankers available during the day.
