An estimated 70,000 music fans converged on the village of Slane in Co Meath today.
The Strypes from nearby Co Cavan kicked off Slane 2015.
Those who braved the inclement weather conditions were also treated to performances from the Kaiser Chiefs and Hozier.
Headline act the Foo Fighters closed today's event.
